Laxa in Refasveit 2004

Me and Jon had two days in Laxa. The river was in great condition with lot of salmon running. The Kistan pool was packed with salmon and there was take all over the pool. This morning I hooked and landed 3 salmon all fresh around 6 pounds but lost at least 5! I hooked salmon and then after some fight the fly would brake off, this would happen 3 times more before I realized that I was heating the knot and making it brittle when I was tightening the fly (lesson learned...spit on the line before pulling on the knot...). Great time though with salmon on almost in every cast.
Jon in Kistan pool, the salmon is how ever mine. Jon hooked one but lost him after some fight.

26. June 2004. Nordura
Me and Hilmar shared a rod in Nordura with Sigga "Haug" as a guide.
The Group in Nordura, Ingo, not sure who, Siggi Haugur, Hilmar and Mark Emmry.
Me and Hilmar have been working together for 11 years but still have no clue what the hell we are doing...
Siggi Haugur just landed a nice 12pound fish. (Haugur is the name of a very good fly that he designed).
Yes boss, the meeting is going fine...no sir it is just a foutain...
This was Mark Emmry's first salmon fishing trip ever but he lives in Mission Viejo CA, USA. Here he is with his first Atlantic salmon (Mariulax ). He had couple of moths earlier had some heart problems and his doctor told him he could not play golf for the next few months. He then asked his doctor if he could go salmon fishing in Iceland and he said, of course...I am not sure what puts more pressure on the heart, fishing for Atlantic Salmon or playing golf..
Hilmar in Hraesvelgur, great pool that was full of new run salmon.
I caught one in Hraesvelgur on Haugur hitch and that one had sea lice.
