I came to Iceland for few days on business and in the end of that I got two day in Svarta. I had never fished that river but I had often wondered when driving by it how it would be for fishing. I fished alone the first day but the second day Siggi came on the other half of the rod.


This river is absolutely stunning, with fantastic pools and a great lodge, but we where to early. We did not see a single jump or movement for two days and the other 2 rods (4 guys) saw nothing ether.
